First Comes Love - America's Sweethearts

In addition to the BIG giveaway this month (more info here), tomorrow, May 1st, we'll be giving away our first of many small giveaways that will go out in the next few months.  To enter these small giveaways, all you have to do is like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter!  Anyone is eligible for these small drawings.

Since May's theme is First Comes Love, we felt it only appropriate to give away a chick flick!  The first giveaway will be a copy of America's Sweethearts on DVD.

If our 7-month-old will cooperate, we'll simply put all the names in a basket, hat, etc. and let Ben pick one out.  We're hoping (if everything goes as planned) to film it and load the video both here and on Facebook to announce the winner!  Check back tomorrow for more information!

First Comes Love - May details!

 

The first part of the First Comes Love event begins in just a few hours!!  All who "like" our Facebook page or follow us on twitter are eligible for the small prizes throughout the event.  There will be three grand prize challenges (one each month) for which you will need to enter separately.  The May grand prize is geared toward engaged couples (i.e. First comes love), but it is open to anyone.  The details of the prize (so far) are in the photo above.  To enter, simply post your favorite picture (of you, your fiance, your dog, anything!) on our Facebook wall between May 1st and May 15th.  We'll then create a photo album of all the pictures and ask your friends to vote by liking our page and then liking your photo in the competition album (must do both for vote to count - 1 vote per person).  Votes will be calculated May 16th - May 31st and the most votes win!  

The fine print:  Choice Media Productions does not endorse any product given away during the First Comes Love event other than CMP services. By entering in the First Comes Love event, contestants agree to indemnify and hold harmless Choice Media Productions from any and all issues which may arise out of or related to participation in the event. Grand prize winners will be awarded a photo session. CMP will make every attempt to accommodate the winner within a 100 mile radius of Bowling Green, KY. Alternatively winner my choose to travel to CMP. If winner is unable or unwilling to meet these conditions, he or she may still receive the remainder of prize but will not receive any credit, monetary or otherwise, for the forfeited photo session.

First Comes Love...

The giveaways we have been talking so much about are sneaking up on us! Each week we'll be giving away small prizes via a random drawing of those people who are either following us on twitter or who like us on Facebook. Do both and your name will be entered twice!

Three times during the summer we will hold contests for our grand prizes.

The May winner will receive a free engagement shoot with DVD of images and copyright release. In addition, winner will receive a bridal themed gift collection to help him or her prepare for their special day.

Then Comes Marriage...
Sometimes getting married can be stressful! The June winner will receive a free photo session with DVD of images and copyright release. Ideas include a Trash the Dress or Dress Up 1 More Time shoot - but can be used for any type of photo session. In addition, winner will receive a relaxation themed gift collection to help relieve some of the stress now that the big day is over!

Then Comes Baby in a Baby Carriage...
The July winner will receive a free maternity photo session with DVD of images and copyright release. Session may also be used for other purposes such as pet-ography (fur babies!) or family portraits. In addition, winner will receive baby-themed gift collection.

Win FREE STUFF!

Happy Easter from Choice Media Productions!

A busy week passed faster than a speeding bullet as I was out of town and Adam was all alone with Baby Ben for the first time.  Luckily he survived! 

We are focusing our efforts on social networking in the upcoming weeks to get our name out and about within the community.  We've found that although we keep busy, the majority of our weddings are out of town.  While we don't mind to travel, we would love to celebrate with couples locally as well.  Keep an eye out on our Facebook (www.facebook.com/cmpweddings) and Twitter (www.twitter.com/cmpweddings) pages for upcoming contests!

And before we forget - Happy Easter!  We do believe that Santa Clause and the Easter Bunny may be trying to one up the other because Ben has been thoroughly blessed at Easter - probably more than Christmas!  In our defense, at Christmas he wasn't old enough to really understand what anything was.

"Cried like babies"

We love hearing how much you love your wedding pictures/video!  Today I heard from another client who reporting crying like babies at their wedding video.  While our goal is not to make our clients cry, we love that our work brings them to tears of joy!

Southern Fried Fitness and more from Sarah's Maternity

We are so happy to be teaming up with Robin Shea again!  We enjoyed filming her television show last year, but this southern lady has headed to the big time!  Southern Fried Fitness can now be seen on stations across the nation! While I'm out of town this week, Adam will be collaborating with Robin to make podcasts for her website, http://www.southernfriedfitness.tv.  Be sure to check them out!  Or, for more about Robin, read her blog at http://southernfriendfitness.blogspot.com.

Also, I had such a great time with Sarah last week that I wanted to share a few more!  I'll be out of town this week, so don't be surprised if you don't see much from the blog!

Sarah's Having a Baby!

I was so excited today to shoot another maternity session.  I haven't shot one since doing my own about 8 months ago now.  In case you missed, check them out here.

Sarah is a friend from work who is expecting a little girl named Addisyn in just a few short weeks!  We wanted to shoot outdoors, but we had some abnormally hot weather today and Addisyn was not having it.  The great news is that it gave me a chance to practice in my studio.  This is definitely where I have the least confidence as most of my jobs are weddings and I shoot on the go!  When I have control over everything I tend to get nervous!

I took advantage of this time to clean behind my furniture and get a nice sillouette in front of our living room window.

Then we headed down to the studio where Sarah was very patient as I got back into the habit of using my studio equipment.  It's hard to believe it had been almost a year since I'd shot anything in the studio since I didn't take many jobs toward the end of my pregnancy last year.  I was very happy with the result though!

 

 Sarah was such a good sport and one of the cutest pregnant ladies EVER!  After fun in the air conditioning, she let me drag her outside.  I'm sure glad she did, because these turned out gorgeous!!

Now I can't wait to get my camera on baby Addisyn!!

A Day at the Park with Kasey & Alex!

Today I was lucky to spend the afternoon with a recently engaged couple, Kasey & Alex!  This was perhaps one of the most fun shoots I've done.  Kasey and Alex are high school sweethearts who have been together for six years!  You can see how much fun these two have had over those past 6 years, and I know they will have lots of fun in the future, too!  Here's a preview of today's session.

Ashcroft & Oak Show

With the whirlwind of the last few weeks, it's a surprise we were able to slow down long enough to set up a booth at Ashcroft and Oak Jeweler's bridal fair.  We were honored to be asked to participate.  If you saw us there, let us know! 

Baby Ben is 6 months old!

Oh, how time flies.  Last year at this time we were taking video and photo of weddings, musicals, and other people's children.  Now we've got our own.  Just thought we'd share how fast he's growing up!

Church Musicals!

We are so excited to have been a part of another great production from Eastwood Baptist Church's Spring Children's concert.  We've been working with Dana and the rest of the extraordinary music ministry for several years now, and we are so happy to be able to film and produce their show so that the congregation can remember their productions for years to come.


Another recent church musical production we were proud to be a part of was Moses! The Musical put on by Holy Spirit Catholic Church.  Adam was able to both Stage Manage and film this production, and looks forward to working with Holy Spirit in the future.
